I have wide-ranging experience in senior levels of government and the private sector being Deputy Secretary of the Federal Treasury from 2002 until 2013. My particular interest is in the development and effectiveness of policies relating to the financial system, competition, business growth, infrastructure and foreign investment. Prior to joining Pottinger I was the CEO of the Queensland Treasury for three years. In 2011 I was awarded a Public Service Medal for my work on the Government’s response to the global financial crisis.
I have deep knowledge of infrastructure development, the financial system and financial services and government policy formulation. My government career was built around constructive consultation with the private sector on the development and impact of government policy and the delivery of government services to the public. I have a passion for promoting sound engagement between business and Government, and enabling the private sector to flourish for the public good.
