About the programme
We hire graduates that are exceptional, dynamic and motivated individuals, with a genuine interest in the business world and who value and can contribute to a work environment that is stimulating, challenging and rewarding. Our commitment is to provide you with a stimulating and positive learning environment, supported by hands on training and experience in key areas of the day to day work of an analyst. Our graduate programme provides a strong foundation to launch you into a lifelong career in M&A and corporate advisory.
Training and Learning
Graduates take part in an integrated programme involving work experience, formal training sessions across the full range of knowledge requirements, and informal one on one training by senior members of staff. Graduates typically receive over 40 hours of targeted training in their first 3 months.
We believe that learning is most successfully achieved by providing you with responsibilities on day one. Our graduates are given real, client-focused responsibilities, including involvement in face to face client meetings, from the moment they commence. We have found that the learning of our graduates accelerates significantly due to this approach.
Pottinger recognises that building a team of exceptional, bright and motivated employees begins with providing a solid foundation from which to encourage internal knowledge sharing between colleagues. You will take part in a range of knowledge sharing and internal training sessions, as well as one-on-one focused tutoring.
Mentoring
During your first year as a graduate, you will be assigned a mentor to ensure your learning and development is optimised. Whilst each member of the team is committed to helping each member of the team reach their full potential, your mentor is specifically assigned to answer any questions and discuss other aspects of your future career with you.
Workplace
Pottinger is an equal opportunity employer and recognises the strength that flows from building a diverse team both in background and experience. We are committed to long term career development for staff and operate in a team-based environment, whilst respecting the individual. We believe that ongoing business and career success will be underpinned by maintaining a healthy work / life balance.
